Where We Work
Our Office…
After many years of research, planning, design, and construction the Vision for a permanent home for us has become a reality!
When we set out on this journey it was our goal to create a very dynamic space that would encourage and enhance teamwork within our firm, while at the same promoting “self-image’ for each of our specialized service divisions. Beyond that we wanted to make a statement as a “design firm”, acknowledging an appreciation for long-standing architectural style, while taking the opportunity to highlight a wide variety of materials and creative applications on both the exterior and interior. In the end we feel that our new office not only met these challenges, but actually exceeded them. It is a great place to call home, and we invite you to come by and check things out, and in the meantime check out the Office Pics!
Our Life…
Similar to our philosophy with clients, our office atmosphere is one that is predicated in relationship. At Foxhollow Goodson we are a casual family that strives to serve our clients through strong individual investment within a focused team effort. It is our desire that everyone wants to come to work, and enjoys the experience when they are there. Beyond the day-to-day office experience, it our goal to properly prepare our staff to serve; therefore we provide our staff with on-going professional development through in-house Continuing Education seminars, specialized training, jobsite experience, and the most technologically advanced tools of our industry. Golf Tournament; we believe it is our responsibility to be active and involved in serving our local community.
Our Community…
Knoxville is located near the center of the Great Valley of East Tennessee. Its location, in the heart of the valley and at the headwaters of the Tennessee River, make the city a center for the region's economy, culture, and history. James White, the founder of Knoxville, established his home here in 1786 as a fort and cluster of cabins. By 1791, the community was renamed Knoxville and enjoyed status as capital of the Southwest Territory. By 1794, the town was home to Blount College, known today as the University of Tennessee. In the 1800s, Knoxville took advantage of its river access, railroad connections, and geographical location to become one of the leading distributing centers in the South. After the Civil War, Knoxville rebuilt its economy through commerce, industry, and natural resources that included lumber, coal, and marble. Those natural resources and river-generated power helped establish Knoxville as an important "New Deal" city in the early 20th century, as a gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and as headquarters to the Tennessee Valley Authority.
Today, Knoxville is home to pioneers in industry, leaders in the arts, and traditionalists working to preserve our heritage. Knoxville's culture and history can be explored and discovered in its 20 museums, numerous performing arts venues, and its historic neighborhoods. Knoxville offers a wonderfully diverse mix of big-city amenities and attractions delivered with small-town charm and hospitality. The "taste of Knoxville" is anything your heart desires. Whatever your style and budget, Knoxville has a room for you! On the water, or on the town and all around...get ready for good times in Knoxville!
Just West of Knoxville, the Town of Farragut is an upscale residential town that has no debt, it has no real estate taxes for homeowners, great Knox County and private schools, a public library, beautifully designed parks, great recreation opportunities and lovely residential subdivisions. It is a great place to live, work and play; and it is a wonderful place for us to make our workplace home!
