A few years ago we were challenged by a smaller congregation in southern Birmingham, Alabama to create a new Worship Center that would meet the needs of their growing ministry, while at the same time providing a statement within the community amidst much larger church facilities. The project consisted of a new two-story facility of nearly 14,000 square feet to accommodate a contemporary style Worship for 500 attendees with an "amphitheater" Balcony, expanded Fellowship space, and new Choir Suite; including the renovation of the existing facility to improve the Kitchen and Educational ministries. By meeting with the various ministry and program teams within the Church, we were able to understand their needs and developed a design that met or exceeded all of their hope and dreams, in an impressive structure where five hundred people worship in an expansive space, but are all within sixty feet of the pulpit. This has been a very successful addition for the Church, Community, and Kingdom of God.
