Paul G. Goodson
Secretary/Church Architect
As a graduate
of Clemson University in 1965, Paul Goodson has been working exclusively
in the service of churches since 1971 when he began a partnership
in Atlanta. Prior to that, he conducted Master Work in Land Use
Planning at Georgia Institute of Technology; and served in the Corps
of Engineers in Vietnam during 1966-67. Paul considers it his "calling"
to serve churches, and it must be since he has been blest with the
opportunity of working with over 350 congregations in the Southeast.
Licensed in eight states within the Southeast, he concluded his
sole proprietorship status with Goodson and Associates Architects
in Nashville by moving into his current position as Secretary and
Managing Member of the Foxhollow-Goodson Group, leading our Nashville
Office; and is primarily involved with Programming, Masterplanning,
Growth Evaluations, and Schematic Design.
"Church
Architecture is a powerful tool for church ministry and program
development, as well as, continued growth. Church buildings are
not the end within themselves, but the design and construction of
your facility can support or hamper your ministry growth. The best
church architecture provides a pleasing environment that is representative
of the special characteristics of your congregation and the ministry
that it portrays to the community, and will always work to support
and enhance the vision and growth of your congregation. For over
30 years I have dedicated myself to this effort of serving churches,
and it continues to be a pleasure and honor."
